This radar employs a two-dimensional phased‑scan architecture and features a target‑acquisition system (TAS), enabling multi‑target tracking.

The RD03 low‑altitude surveillance radar is a Ku‑band phased‑array system that employs an all‑solid‑state, fully coherent pulse‑Doppler architecture. With a target update rate of up to 3 seconds, it can detect and track fast‑maneuvering “low‑altitude, small, slow” targets in all weather conditions.

This radar employs azimuth mechanical scanning and elevation phased‑array scanning, offering a higher cost‑performance ratio compared with two‑dimensional phased‑array radars and multi‑beam radars.
