8-Channel GEN3 RFSOC Algorithm Verification Evaluation Board

The IW-RFSOC-47DR/48DR is an algorithm evaluation board based on the Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC ZU47DR main chip (which integrates high-speed ADCs and DACs internally). It supports multi-board cascading and provides a COTS solution that leverages the advantages of RFSoC while more effectively offloading data and reaping the benefits of COTS: users can achieve the fastest possible deployment, while benefiting from lower total cost of ownership, lifecycle support, and simplified future technology upgrades. This product supports 8-channel 14-bit ADCs at 5.0 GSPS and 8-channel 14-bit DACs at 9.85 GSPS. It reduces the complexity of the RF signal processing chain, maximizes input/output channel density without sacrificing wide bandwidth, and takes advantage of heterogeneous processing capabilities—all while achieving lower power consumption (by eliminating the need for separate ADC/DAC components and removing power consumption associated with the FPGA-to-analog interface). The Zynq UltraScale+ device features an ARM Cortex-A53 processing subsystem, UltraScale+ programmable logic, and the highest signal-processing bandwidth available, enabling a comprehensive RF signal chain that meets the demands of wireless communications, cable TV access, test and measurement, and other high-performance RF applications.
