The wide-bandwidth parallel filter IP is a polyphase FIR filter with 50 tap coefficients.
The wide-bandwidth parallel filter IP is a polyphase FIR filter with 50 tap coefficients. Designed based on the data acquisition characteristics of RFSOC, it comprises four modules: a data buffer module, a coefficient selection module, a multiplier module, and an adder module (as shown in the figure below).
The RFSOC chip converts RF signals within the 5G band into discrete n‑channel (12‑channel) FPGA data at the 5G sampling rate. This enables 12 phase‑aligned filters to process the 12 parallel channel signals in parallel and then aggregate the filtered outputs. It can significantly enhance the processing speed and data throughput of the baseband processing unit while enabling efficient real-time signal processing. The figure below shows the algorithm’s timing diagram.
