The high-bandwidth parallel filter IP is a polyphase FIR filter with 50 tap coefficients.
The high-bandwidth parallel filter IP is a polyphase FIR filter with 50 tap coefficients. This filter is designed based on the data acquisition characteristics of the RFSOC and comprises four main components: a data buffer module, a coefficient selection module, a multiplier module, and an adder module (as shown in the figure below).
The RFSOC chip converts RF signals within the 5G band into discrete FPGA data with an n (12)-channel sampling rate of 5G. This enables parallel filtering of 12-channel signals using a 12-phase filter, and then aggregates the filtered results for output. It significantly enhances the processing speed and data throughput of the baseband processing unit while also enabling efficient real-time signal processing. The figure below shows the timing diagram of this algorithm.
